Shim-pack Fast-OA 컬럼은 강한 머무름을 가지는 짧은 사슬 지방산(short-chain fatty acids)을 10분 이내에 분석하는 데에도 사용할 수 있습니다.

Column：Shim-pack Fast-OA
Mobile phase：5 mmol/L p-toluenesulfonic acid
pH buffer solution：5 mmol/L p-toluenesulfonic acid
                           20 mmol/L Bis- Tris 0.1 mmol/L EDTA
Flow rate：0.8 mL/min
Detection method：Conductivity detector (CDD-10AVP)

organic acids의 Post-컬럼 pH-buffering conductivity도 검출은 선택성이 높습니다.

배양 배지 및 식품 시료에는 organic acids뿐만 아니라 다양한 불순물이 포함되어 있습니다. UV 검출은 유기산의 종류에 따라 흡광도(absorbance)가 달라지므로 감도의 차이나 불순물의 영향으로 정량이 어려울 수 있습니다.
post-column pH buffering과 conductivity 검출을 결합한 방법을 사용하면 겹치는 오염물질 피크에 대한 걱정 없이 유기산에 대해 매우 선택적인 정량 분석을 수행할 수 있습니다.

Shim-pack Fast-OA는 이온 배제(ion-exclusion) 크로마토그래피 컬럼입니다. 타겟 화합물*에 따라 최대 3개의 컬럼을 연결할 수 있습니다. 
가드 컬럼인 Shim-pack Fast-OA(G)를 함께 사용하면, 분석 컬럼을 보호할 수 있습니다. 가드 컬럼은 cartridge 형태로되어있으며 추후 교체가 가능합니다.
